Living Green - Episode 83 - Plasma Fusion Technology

The International Tokamak Experimental Reactor (ETA) aims to advance plasma fusion technology for clean nuclear energy. The reactor features a tokamak design, a doughnut-shaped chamber where superheated hydrogen gas is controlled by magnets. Operating at temperatures ten times hotter than the sun, fusion reactors produce minimal radioactive waste and no greenhouse gases. The construction of the reactor is expected to take up to 10 years and cost over €10 billion.
