VOICED : Capturan a exministro de Guatemala por pagar bono a presidente

Williams Mansilla, former Defense Minister of Guatemala, was arrested for authorizing an extra bonus to President Jimmy Morales, in addition to his salary. Mansilla faces charges of abuse of authority and illicit enrichment. He claims the bonus was legal. An investigation by Nómada revealed that Morales received $6,600 in March, on top of his $19,300 monthly salary, totaling $60,000 between December 2016 and August 2017. Morales had to repay the amount following public criticism and intervention by the Comptroller General. The prosecution sought to remove Morales' immunity to investigate him, but the Supreme Court rejected the request.
