Federal Grand Jury Indicts 4 Former Officers In Death Of George Floyd

Four officers involved in George Floyd's arrest and death have been indicted by a federal grand jury for violating his civil rights. Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao, and J. Alexander Kueng are charged with using excessive force, while all four, including Thomas Lane, are charged with failing to provide medical care. Chauvin also faces charges from a 2017 incident involving a minor. He was recently convicted of murder and manslaughter in Floyd's death and awaits sentencing. The other officers are set for trial in August and are currently free on bond.
