Germany Bans Outdoor Drinking, Singing At Religious Services

As countries consider canceling holiday celebrations due to COVID-19, Germany has decided to tighten its lockdown measures until January 10th. Announced by Chancellor Angela Merkel, these measures include banning singing during religious services, stopping outdoor alcohol sales, and closing schools and nonessential businesses. Restaurants are limited to takeout services. This decision follows a surge in COVID-19 cases, with over 20,000 new cases reported. Additional restrictions include limiting gatherings and banning fireworks sales.
