China has become the world's largest consumer of red wine, surpassing France, according to a study by Binexpo. In 2013, China consumed over 1.865 billion bottles, while France consumed 1.350 billion. From 2005 to 2013, China's red wine consumption increased by 136%, whereas France's decreased by 18%. Italy, the USA, and Germany follow China in red wine consumption.
