WeCyclers, a recycling initiative in Lagos, uses bicycles to collect recyclable materials from households, rewarding them with points redeemable for gifts. Founded by Billie Kisa, the initiative aims to raise recycling awareness in a city generating 10 tons of waste daily. WeCyclers partners with companies like Brideco Global to transform waste into reusable products. In 18 months, they collected 200 tons of waste from 5,000 homes and plan to expand their workforce and reach by the end of 2014.
