Snorzean Room: Multi Sensory Therapy for Children with Brain Injuries

In the 1970s, a new therapy for disabled children was developed at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. This therapy, known as the Snorzean Room, originated in the Netherlands in 1974. It uses a combination of lights, music, and visual images to stimulate the brain and senses of children with brain injuries. Dr. Gillian Herz from the University of Miami is involved in testing the therapy's effectiveness on children with severe head injuries. The therapy aims to enhance sensory stimulation, helping children to function at a higher level.
