Indonesian submarine found on sea bed

A submarine was discovered in three pieces on the ocean floor off Bali, with all 53 crew members confirmed dead. The wreckage was located at a depth of over 2700 feet by an underwater robot from a Singaporean vessel. Initial hopes for a rescue faded after debris was found on the ocean surface. The Indonesian Navy Chief stated that no explosion occurred; instead, heavy water pressure likely caused a crack. The submarine could withstand pressure up to 500 meters but contact was lost between 600 and 700 meters.
