VOICED : Vuelo del angel abre Carnaval de Venecia

The Venice Carnival was launched with the traditional Angel's Flight, witnessed by 100,000 attendees. Julia Nassi, a 22-year-old student, performed the flight from the San Marcos Basilica, dressed in a costume by Stefano Nicolao. The Carnival, which had fallen out of favor, was revived in the 1980s and continues to be a celebrated event.
