Manuel Izquierdo survived a devastating typhoon in the Philippines by taking refuge in a cave, which has now become his home. The typhoon destroyed his community and homes, leaving him and others to start anew. Manuel is slowly rebuilding his house with wood near a river, sharing the cave with two other families. Despite the precarious living conditions, including washing clothes by hand and bathing in the river, the community remains resilient. They are grateful for the safety the cave provides, as it saved them from losing even more.
