A wooden boat carrying 97 Indonesian migrants sank off the west coast of Malaysia. While 60 people survived, 35 remain missing, and two bodies have been recovered. The boat sank shortly after midnight, two nautical miles from Kuala Lumpur, as it attempted to leave Malaysia illegally for Indonesia. The migrants were believed to be returning home for Ramadan. Authorities are investigating the cause of the sinking and have questioned the survivors.
