Rollerblading is a highly effective exercise, burning more calories than cycling or running. A study from the University of Wisconsin Medical School found that rollerblading for 30 minutes uses 200 more calories per hour than running or cycling. It also offers better aerobic fitness benefits than cycling, as it's harder to coast. While running provides a superior aerobic workout, rollerblading is low impact and easier on the joints. Additionally, rollerblading builds muscles in the upper legs, buttocks, hips, and lower back, and even works the arms and shoulders. It's a great way to get fit with minimal joint impact.
