Piper immediately learns how to find food at the beginning of the film. She is never afraid of the ocean or the waves. Instead, she spends her time happily playing with other birds and finding clams without any problems. She doesn't face any challenges, and the film is about her playing and collecting food effortlessly. By the end of the film, she already knows how to handle the ocean and finds food easily.

Piper never changes throughout the film. She is always afraid of the ocean and never learns how to find food. She stays on the shore the whole time and doesn't try to fly or look for clams. The adult bird does everything for her, and Piper just watches. She never learns anything new, and the story ends with her still being scared of the ocean.

Piper changes throughout the film by overcoming her fear of the ocean. At first, she is scared of the waves, but she later becomes brave enough to search for food on her own. One example is when she watches the adult bird and learns how to find clams in the sand, showing her growth and new-found confidence.
