Acrisius exiles them, but they are saved by Dictys. Perseus grows up and is tasked with beheading Medusa. With divine help, he succeeds and saves Andromeda. Returning home, Perseus accidentally fulfills the prophecy by killing Acrisius. He becomes a celebrated hero and founds Mycenae.
