Lunar Eclipse

• A celestial event that occurs when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon and dimming its appearance.

Waning Gibbous

New Moon

• The moon is positioned between the Earth and the sun, with its illuminated side facing away from us.

• The moon is in a waxing phase, gradually becoming more visible.

First Quarter moon

• When half of the side of the Moon that faces Earth appears illuminated by the Sun, and it has completed a quarter of its orbit around the Earth, occurring about a week after the new moon.

• When the Moon is not visible from Earth and is in the new moon phase.

Last Quarter Moon

Waxing Gibbous

• A lunar phase that occurs when the Moon appears more than half-illuminated but is not yet fully lit, with the illuminated portion continuously growing larger.

• A lunar phase where the Moon is completely dark and not visible from Earth.

• A lunar phase that occurs when the Moon is less than half-illuminated and is decreasing in illumination.

• A lunar phase that occurs when the Moon is fully illuminated and appears as a complete circle.

Waning Crescent

• A lunar phase occurring after the full moon and before the third quarter moon, where the Moon is fully illuminated.
