"The Beggar and the Mango"
One hot afternoon, a poor beggar walked through the village streets, hoping to get some food. He had not eaten anything since the day before. His clothes were torn, and his feet were dirty and tired. As he passed a big house, he saw a mango tree full of ripe mangoes in the front yard.
The beggar looked around and saw no one. He was very hungry, so he decided to climb the tree and pick a mango. Just as he reached for one, the owner of the house came out and shouted, "Hey! What are you doing? That’s my tree!"
Frightened, the beggar quickly climbed down. "Please, sir," he said, "I haven’t eaten in a day. I was only trying to get one mango to eat."
The owner frowned. "If you want a mango, you must ask politely, not steal."
The beggar lowered his head. "I’m sorry. May I please have a mango?"
The owner smiled a little and said, "Since you asked politely, I will not only give you one mango, but three. Kindness and respect always go a long way."
The beggar thanked him and walked away happily, eating the sweet mangoes along the way.
