Different Genres

The four types of traditional literature we studied include:

• plot, rising action, climax, and resolution

• fairytales, fables, myths, and legends

• nouns, verbs, adjectives, and prepositions

• realistic fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, and science fiction

A type of writing written to encourage feeling and create a thoughtful response. This type of writing often uses rhyme and rhythm to convey a message.
