• 5 - I respond with many different sentence types and lengths fluently. I give long responses to statements and questions. My ideas are organized. My ideas are supported with strong details.

• 4 - I respond with different sentence types and lengths. My thoughts are well orgnaized and fit together well. I provide details to make my ideas clear.

• 3 - I respond with short and long sentences. Some of my sentences are longer and I sometimes include details to make my ideas more clear.

• 2 - I respond with phrases and short sentences. I DO NOT give details to support my ideas.

• 1 - I respond with 1-2 words or short phrases that I have learned and memorized.
