What is Genetic variation?

• The difference in the DNA among members of a species.

• Are features that are visible when you look at an animal. E.g. Aberdeen angus cattle are polled (hornless)

• The process by which humans breed plants or animals with desirable traits and concentrate on those desirable traits in the offspring

• Involves the manipulation of hereditary characteristics in order to improve or produce desirable characteristics in offspring.
