Briefly discuss Amplifiers.

Considering Figure 1 and Figure 2, list main types of amplifiers with their applications and give detailed explanation, supporting with relevant diagrams/pictures etc.

Build the following circuit using the TINA simulation package.

Plot a graph between frequency (x-axis) and gain in dB (y-axis).

Apply a sine wave of 40mV/1 KHz. Calculate voltage gain of an amplifier in dB using Oscilloscope.

Vary frequency and note down output voltage using Oscilloscope.

Explain types of feedback (Open and Closed loop, Positive and Negative feedback). Consider advantages and disadvantages of these. It’s effect on amplifier performance.

Describe the figure 3 circuit without a capacitor connected across Re.

Discuss advantages and disadvantages of R-C oscillators.

Gain calculation, this is an inverting amplifier. Gain = Rf/Rin. Calculate gain.
