When Mr. Toad and Mr. Rat met the Badger in the woods, he was very nice to them. He helped them take off their wet clothes and gave them warm gowns and slippers. The Badger also took care of a cut on Mole’s leg with warm water. After they were warm and comfy, the Badger invited them to eat a tasty meal. While they ate, the Badger listened to their story from his chair at the table.
