Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie (Indonesian: [baxaˈrudːin ˈjusuf haˈbibi] ^ⓘ, 25 June 1936 – 11 September 2019) was an Indonesian politician, engineer and scientist who served as the third president of Indonesia from 1998 to 1999

Parents and Origins: His father was Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie, an agriculturist from Gorontalo of Bugis descent.

His mother was R. A. Tuti Marini Puspowardojo, a Javanese noblewoman from Yogyakarta. Education: His senior high schools was in Jakarta and his undergraduate education was in engineering in Germany. His doctoral program was in Germany, too.
