The second cause of traffic congestion is disruptions such as road construction, repairs, or accidents, which restrict available lanes and worsen traffic delays.

For instance, in Hanoi City, there are currently 38 roads under construction, reducing the number of lanes and contributing to traffic congestion.

Another contributing factor to traffic jams is weather conditions.

Consequently, drivers tend to accelerate, exacerbating traffic congestion.
