MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION

Last year when I was in the seventh grade, I experienced an unforgettable incident. It happened

on Monday, on the first day of the new semester. When I opened my eyes, it was almost six

fifteen in the morning. The school minibus was due in another fifteen minutes.

I rushed to the door. In my haste, I forgot all about the slippery doormat. It slid under my feet,

and I fell. Luckily, I got no serious wound. Before anyone could see me, I quickly picked myself

up and limped off to the bathroom. I managed to brush my teeth and have a bath as fast as I

could. Then, I pulled on my school uniform without further mishap. Then, I discovered that my

name tag was missing.

The precious minutes ticked away as I hunted for it frantically. Finally, after much muttering for

myself, I found it in a small pocket in my school bag. I pinned it on hurriedly, pricking my finger

in the process. Then, I took my blue OSIS tie and hat for the new semester ceremony. Then, I

ran to the kitchen. Luckily, my mother had my breakfast ready.

I took a quick sip of the chocolate milk and almost dropped the mug. The milk was scalding hot!

Leaving it alone, I rapidly took bread out of the fridge and ate it while sitting in front of the

fridge. I hardly swallowed the first bite when the school minibus arrived. Then, I grabbed my

school bag in one hand, my shoes in the other, and dashed out. My friends rocked with laughter

as I put on my shoes on the minibus.

That morning is a good lesson for me. I promise myself I would never do that again.

What did the writer do to the bread after the minibus arrived?

He/She put it back into the fridge.

He/She gave it to his/her mother.

He/She dipped it into the milk.

He/She carried it by his/her hands.

MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION

Read the text to answer the Question

"Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between lush green hills, there lived two brothers named

Jack and Tom. Jack was the older of the two, known for his adventurous spirit and daring escapades.

Tom, on the other hand, was more reserved, preferring the quiet comforts of home.

One sunny morning, Jack and Tom decided to embark on a journey to explore the neighboring

forests. Jack, ever the adventurous one, led the way, eager to discover new sights and sounds. As

they ventured deeper into the woods, they stumbled upon a towering waterfall, the most magnificent

they had ever seen. Jack declared it the most beautiful waterfall in the entire region, its cascading

waters mesmerizing to behold.

Undeterred by the rugged terrain, Jack urged Tom to climb higher, promising an even more

breathtaking view from the top. Reluctantly, Tom followed his brother, his heart pounding with both

fear and excitement. Finally reaching the summit, they were greeted by a panoramic vista of rolling

hills and winding rivers, stretching as far as the eye could see. Tom gasped in awe, agreeing with

Jack that it was the most spectacular view they had ever witnessed.

As they made their way back home, Jack regaled Tom with tales of their adventure, embellishing

each detail with more enthusiasm than the last. Tom smiled, grateful for the opportunity to

experience such unforgettable moments with his brother. Though Jack may have been the more

adventurous of the two, Tom knew that their bond was the strongest force of all, surpassing any

mountain they may conquer or waterfall they may encounter."

Tom eventually agreed to follow Jack to the summit because ...

he wanted to beat Jack.

he had no other choice.

he was very excited to do so.
