Write out the communication process.  Be sure to have all 4 parts and use proper vocabulary.

• Talking, message, reply,, verbal

• nonverbal, verbal, message, collaboration

• Message occurs, someone receives it, then sends it on for feedback and receives that information to send on for a new message

• Driving your car

• Talking on the phone

Explain the difference between interpersonal communication and intrapersonal communication:

• Interpersonal is all about conflict and intrapersonal is not

• Interpersonal is with people and intrapersonal is without people

• These terms aren't real

• Interpersonal is communication with 2 or more people, Intrapersonal is communication within yourself.

Give an example of a conflict and then write the resolution:

• Stealing the chromebook from someone.

• Getting into an argument with a family member

• Needing to use the computer when your sister is on it and you compromise a solution.

What is the purpose of persuasion?

• To talk

• To influence and connince others

 Explain how the thesis is the foundation of a speech

• IT does a job for the speech

• It is only a small portion of the speech.

• It provides information on the speech and is a strong statement telling the audience what the speech will be about

• I don't believe in thesis stuff

 What form are main ideas written in?

Explain step by step how to write an introduction of a speech.

• Write just a few sentences

• Write a claim

• Write 4 sentences total. The last sentences is the thesis. The 3 sentences before the thesis can help flow and lead to the thesis.

An example of a claim is:

• Dominos is better than Papa John's

• I like peanutbutter

• Cicadas are the worst type of bug

• Chocolate milk is a heathy drink
