This component is an "...approach whereby teachers adjust their curriculum and instruction to maximize the learning of all students."

This component revolves around "...students being grouped together based on their individual needs, abilities, and interests rather than solely based on their grade level or age; they are fluid and can change based on [student] progress and needs"

This component encompasses two things: "...the level of motivation [students] have to learn and progress in their education" AND "...the ways in which school leaders, educators, and other adults might 'engage' students more fully."

This component involves strategies that are "aimed at promoting positive behavior and a conducive learning environment."
