Is it okay to boast about material things? Why or why not?

• Boasting is a sin when we are not boasting the Lord and his glory. When we boast in material things we are trying to bring glory to ourselves instead of giving God the glory for all the material things he has given us.

• If we are purchasing things we do not need we are not being good stewards because we are wasting our resources on something that won't ever be used and we are also securing it so that others who need it cannot get it. However if we purchase it then donate it that would be better than just throwing it away or letting it sit in our home.

Are you being a good steward if you are purchasing things you do not need? Explain.

• 1. If we are purchasing things we do not need we are not being good stewards because we are wasting our resources on something that won't ever be used and we are also securing it so that others who need it cannot get it. • The difference between renting and being a homeowner financially is that as a renter you are not responsible for maintaining the essential utilities of the property. A renter is not responsible to fix the air conditioning, the plumbing, or the electricity. A Homeowner is responsible for all of those things. The difference is renters are paying to not have to worry about those things but not getting anything in return long term. Homeowners are putting in financially to grow their equity in their property to eventually make a profit on it.
