תָּנוּ רַבָנָן

אֲשֶר תּאֹבַד

פְרָט

לַאֲבֵידָה

• to a lost article
• And there isn't

• That was washed away by the river

שֶאֵין בָהּ

• That there is not in it
• increased
• This statement of Ravnai

שָוְֶה פְרוּטָה

• the value of a Perutah
• That it should have the measure of a Metziah item
• From where does he know it [literally: from where to him]

וּמְצָאתָהּ

• with every lost item of your brother

מַאי בֵינַיְיהוּ
