Matthew 3&4

Meditation verse for the book of Mathew chapters 3&4: In chapter 3, we learn for St. John to repent and be ready and always preach the word of God. St. John didn’t care what he will eat, drink or dress. He was also preparing the way for our Lord Jesus Christ saying “ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (V11-12) In chapter 4, we learn about the devil temptations even to our Lord Jesus Christ and how to over come these temptations with the word of God. We also learn not to tempt the Lord our God. “ You shall not tempt the Lord your God.” We should also not to worry about what do we eat or drink.

“It is written, Man shall not live by the bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the ———- of ———-.” ( Verse 4)
