In chapter 1: we see how the generation start from Abraham to David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations. The captivity of Babylon to Christ are another fourteen generations. We also read about the annunciation of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In chapter 2: We learn about what happened after baby Jesus was born, and what happened when Herod the king had heard about baby Jesus. We also learn how the wise men found baby Jesus following the star in the east.
