Scale Factor Definition:

Scale factor is a number that is used to change the size of a shape or object, but it does not change its shape.

Example: Looking at the picture, the smallest sports car model has a scale factor of 1/64. This means that for every 1 unit, the actual sports car is 64 units. Whereas the largest sports car model has a scale factor of 1/18. This means that for every 1 unit, the actual sports car is 18 units.
