Do you feel supported when teaching science in the classroom?

• Yes! Resources galore and I am confident with what I am doing.

How often do you think we should be teaching Science in KIS?

• It should be a core subject and taught throughout the year, once a week

• Taught according to the topic

• 3 science-based topics, or mini topics, a year (once a term at least)

• We should have a intensive Science term where we do all things Science for a whole term

What do you think about assessment in Science?

• Extremely important to inform planning and tracking. There should be a written assessment/project based-assessment at the end of every Science unit.

• Use online platforms to assess learning such as Education City.

• Use teacher discretion and in-class observation.

• The students don't need to be assessed for Science.

What sort of structure do you think is most effective when teaching Science?

• We should work off a standardised scheme of work to support progression across year groups.

• We should be working off a select few schemes and adapt accordingly.

• We can all use our own planning as long as the objectives are met according to the Science progression grid.

• Must I teach Science?
