• You just do it

• You establish; proper posture, instrument/hand position, breathing, embouchure, proper fingering, reading the note on the staff, articulation, proper tone, note duration, release of the note, dynamics, watch the conductor if you playing with other people, rhythm and tempo (if more notes follow), self reflection, repeat.

• You blow into the instrument and hope for the best

• Pick up the instrument, hold it, play the note by breathing into the instrument or striking it, done.
