CAN WE JOIN ELECTRICAL 2.5mm TPS TOGETHER

• Yes twisting the same colour coded wire together and terminating in BP connectors.

TO JOIN ELECTRICAL CABLE DO THEY NEED TO BE THE SAME COLOURS

• NO THEY CAN BE MULTI COLOURED

• EVERY SECOND COLOUR IS OK.

• YES YOU MUST MATCH THE SAME COLOURS.

• ONLY THE BLACKS HAVE TO BE TOGETHER.

IS THE LENGTH IMPORTANT WHEN JOINING CABLE WITH BP CONNECTORS

• No you can squash them in

• uneven is ok for BP connectors.

• Yes. They need to be the right length so the wire can be screwed together inside the BP connector.

Is it important that the wire are tightly secured together when terminating

• It doesn't matter at all

Why do we use BP connectors to Join electrical cables?

• They are an insulated connector that we can make joins and not get electrocuted when touching the BP connector.

• You cannot touch them you will get and electrocuted.

• Yes, it provides extra safety when handling wires and stops shorting out to other wires

Do we have use a double screwed BP connecter when joining the earth cable

• No, a single screw is fine

• its ok as long as some wires are inside

• The wires and some insulation must be inside connector to avoid elctrical short/shock
