OPEN ENDED QUESTION

5 mins • 20 pts

In "A Streetcar Named Desire," Stanley and Stella are not very rich, but they're not extremely poor either. They have regular jobs and live in a small apartment in a neighborhood where people don't have a lot of money. They work hard and live a modest life. Blanche, on the other hand, used to be well-off but lost her family's money and home. So, compared to Blanche, Stanley and Stella have a more stable and comfortable life, even though they're not super rich.

How do the set, sounds, and costumes help to tell this story? Be specific with your answer.
