• nobody believes what you say after a while

• everyone things you're cool

• you hurt other people's feelings

People gossip and spread rumours about others...

• to feel accepted

• to get attention

• to get revenge

• because they are bored

• because it is great thing to do.

What can we do to stop rumours and gossip?

• ignore the person who spreads the rumours

• be brave and tell them they are lying

• don't spread a rumour when you know it can't be true

• look away, don't smile and change the subject

• get into a fight with the person who spreads rumours

What can we say to somone who is gossiping about others?

• Why are you telling me that?

• Boring! I think we could talk about something nicer

• That’s my friend and I don’t want to hear anything YOU have to say about them!
