Fluorescence:

• The process in which high-energy, invisible ultraviolet light is absorbed by the particles of an object, which then emits some of this energy as visible light, causing the object to glow

• The process in which low-energy, invisible ultraviolet light is dissolved by the particles of an object, which then emits all of this energy as visible light, causing the object to glow

• The process in which high-energy, visible inrared light is absorbed by the particles of a liquid, which then emits some of this energy as visible light, causing the object to glow

• The process in which invisible ultraviolet heat is absorbed by the volume of an object, which then stores all of this energy as hot, invisible light, causing the object to appear black.

Incandescent source:

• An object can be heated to such a high temperature, that it emits visible light

• A liquid can be heated to such a high temperature, that is emits radiation waves

Phosphorescence:

• The persistent emission of light following exposure to and removal of a source of radiation

• The often emission of light before exposure to and removal of a source of radiation

• The persistent emission of light following exposure to a source of cold liquid

• The persistent draining of light following exposure to and removal of a source of radiation

Chemiluminescence:

• A chemical reaction that produces energetic particles that give off visible light energy

• A chemical reaction that produces energetic signals that don't give off visible light energy

• An electric reaction that produces energetic waves

• A chemical reaction that produces energetic particles that give off invisible light energy
