IR&S

The purpose of the school IR&S Team is:

• Plan and deliver intervention and referral services to assist scholars experiencing learning, health or behavioral concerns.

• To determine the best time to send scholar(s) to the child study team to test for learning disabilities.

• To set up appointments with families, doctors and other professionals to determine the needs of scholars that are having difficulties in school.

• To group failing students together according to their needs and offer create a educational plan that will address their deficiencies.

Goals of the IR&S Team are to:

• To classify scholars that have been referred to the IR&S Team A.S.A.P.

• To help teachers & staff members to understand the needs of their scholars.

• Provide quality teaching, early intervention and progress monitoring.

• Improve the achievement of all scholars by addressing their unique learning needs before sever academic problems occur requiring special education services.
