Classroom Rules Quiz

I may have water:

• on my desk as long as it is in a bottle with a lid

• in an open cup on the desk

• Never. My teacher wants me to be dehydrated. She thinks it's character-building.

• Never on the desk next to my device. If I'm thirsty in tech class, I need to get permission to use the water fountain.

I can care for my device by:

• Holding it with 2 hands while carrying it.

• Not marking on it.

• Typing on it gently and making sure my hands are clean before use.

I may use someone else's device:

• when I'm trying to help them.

• when they are absent.

If I see something inappropriate on the internet, I should:

• keep looking so I can tell the teacher exactly what popped up.

• immediately close my screen and quietly report it to my teacher.

If I can't figure something out, I should:

• troubleshoot first and then raise my hand for help if I still can't figure it out after that.

• raise my hand, shake it wildly, and make noises to get the teacher's attention.

• lean over and ask my table partner for help.

• Cry. Or scream. Or scream and cry.

When my teacher is giving directions or teaching a lesson

• I can walk around the room and look at stuff on her desk or on the back counter.

• I can get started on the day's assignment as long as I'm not distracting others.

• I should have my mouth closed, my eyes on the teacher, and my ears ready to listen and learn.

• I can talk quietly to my neighbors as long as I'm not too loud.
