Lesson 5 - DBMS

A type of DBMS architecture in which the client, server, and Database all reside on the same machine and mainly used for the development of local applications and they can be used directly to communicate with the database and get quick response.

A type of DBMS architecture that is similar to a client-server architecture provides added security to the DBMS as it is not exposed to the end-user directly and also provides direct and faster communication.

A type of DBMS architecture that is the most popular client-server architecture in DBMS is one in which the development and maintenance of functional processes, logic, data access, data storage, and user interface are done independently as separate modules.

This is a level of the DBMS architecture that is the "top level" and it is also called the "view level" because several users can view their desired data from this level, which is internally fetched from the database with the help of conceptual and internal level mapping.

This is a level of the DBMS architecture that is also called the logical level. The whole design of the database, such as relationships among data, schema of data, etc., is described at this level.

This is a level of the DBMS architecture that is also known as the physical level because it describes how the data is actually stored in the storage devices. This level is also responsible for allocating space to the data, and this is the lowest level of the architecture.

It is  is a representation of DBMS design and it helps to design, develop, implement, and maintain the database management system.

The three-tier architecture layer in which the database is present works in collaboration with the query processing language, and the relations can be defined along with the data and also the constraints can be defined at this level.

The three-tier architecture layer, which mainly focuses on being the middleware or gateway, acts as a mediator between the user and the database.
