In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Paul says, "You are not your own". Why?

In 1 King 17, Elijah visited a widow who only had a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug . Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go and do as you planned. But first make me a small cake and bring it to me; then make something for yourself and your son. What happened when the widow went and did as Elijah told her?

In Matthew 25 Jesus tells the parable of the talents. Three servants are given talents (money) on trust. Two invest the money successfully but one doesn't even bother to invest it and is therefore called a "wicked, lazy servant" by his master. What does Jesus say will happen to "whoever does not have" - in other words, those who refuse to do anything with the talents they have been given on trust?

Stewardship, or recognising that God owns everything we have, extends to our time as well as our possessions. Even in our day to day work Paul says we should work as if we are serving the Lord rather than men. Whatever work we may do, how does Paul describe the way we should work in Colossians 3:23?

In the creation account God gives man the Garden of Eden on trust. What was man to do in the garden?

• Nothing, simply enjoy it

• Harvest everything edible

• Leave it for nature to take its course

• Work it and take care of it

Although God owns all of our time He put a special blessing on the Sabbath day and asks us to dedicate that time to Him. In the same way, although He ultimately owns all of our possessions, He asks that we return a tithe (a tenth) to Him. How is this tithe described in Leviticus 27:30?
