Select the answer that provides the best objective summary of the story "Zombies Don't Eat Veggies!"
Mo keeps a secret garden and kitchen to grow and cook vegetables. His parents disapprove and do not allow vegetables, insisting he eat only zombie foods. Mo tries to convince his parents to try vegetables. His parents want him to accept who he is: a zombie. Mo questions his identity as a zombie, since zombies don’t eat vegetables and he loves vegetables. Mo wonders how to make his parents understand his love of vegetables. Mo makes a tomato-and-vegetable soup and lies to his parents that it is traditional zombie cuisine. His hopes are crushed when his parents hate it. Mo reminds his parents that he likes other zombie things, just not the food. His parents finally accept that he’s different and that’s okay, and promise to start eating a few more vegetables for him.
Unlike other zombies, Mo loves vegetables, though his parents disapprove and insist he eat only zombie foods. He attempts to change their minds by making a tomato-and-vegetable soup and then lying about what’s in it, but his parents hate it and are angry about the vegetables. Mo’s hopes for a veggie-filled future are crushed, but his parents accept that he likes different foods and agree to compromise.
Mo keeps a secret vegetable garden and prepares and eats vegetables many different ways. His parents repeatedly insist that zombies do not eat vegetables and try to get Mo to eat zombie foods like fingers or brains. Mo is disgusted and continues to eat vegetables. He tries to get his parents to like vegetables too, and dreams of a future in which his whole family eats vegetables for every meal. But his parents hate the soup, though they do finally accept him as he is.
Mo wants his parents to like vegetables, but they are zombies. They work together to find a compromise.
