1 Samuel 17&18

In Chapter 17 we learn about David the little boy who by the power of God defeated Goliath who was scaring and challenging God’s people.

In Chapter 18 we learn about how king Saul loved David in the beginning then he hated him because he felt jealous as he saw him succeed in everything he did to the point that he wanted to kill him. We also see how Jonathan loved David and became his friend.

In chapter 17 verse 45 David told Goliath that he comes to him in the name of the Lord of Hosts.

David didn’t shake by Goliath appearance or power, he relayed on the Lord and His power. We should always depend on the Lord, He is the one who gives us strength, and with Him we can overcome anything.
