How were the children on Camazotz playing?

• They were playing soccer. The ball kept bouncing off of things and hitting the goals.

• They were playing ball and skipping rope, but they were doing it in rhythm. As the balls hit the ground, so did the jump rope.

• They were perfectly in sync with everything they did. The balls, ropes, slides, and swings all matched up in perfect time.

• There were no children.

What were the people of Camazotz like?

• They were very strange and did not interact with one another.

• They always kept in perfect order, everyone and everything moved to a rhythm.

• They were very neat and clean, just like their planet.

• They spoke a strange language, and thought Meg and Charles Wallace were very intelligent earth beings.
