Due to their incredible force, floods can cause LOTS of damage. They can ruin houses, roads and buildings. Floods can take down trees and cause mudslides. They often leave mud, sand and destruction behind. It can take months to clean up after a flood.

The bristle toothbrush, similar to the type used today, was not invented until 1498 in China. The bristles were actually the stiff, coarse hairs taken from the back of a hog's neck and attached to handles made of bone or bamboo. Hybrid cars are good for the environment, but they may not perform as well as cars that run only on gasoline.
