Why was the Quran sent to Prophet Muhammad (sw) in Arabic? (Hint: see Ayah below)

In Surah Zukhruf Allah says:

"We have certainly made it a Quran in Arabic, so that you may be able to understand (its meanings). "

• Allah chose to reveal the Quran in Arabic because the Prophet and the people of Arabia understood Arabic

So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price [i.e., worldly gain]. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the disbelievers."

Allah says in Surah Ma'idah

"Isa (as) did not bring about a new religion. That very religion which had been the religion of all the Prophets was also his religion, and it is towards that religion that he called people. He believed in the true teachings of the Torah. The Qur'an repeatedly stresses the fundamental fact that none of the Prophets, no matter in which part of the world they appeared, denied the Prophets who had preceded them. On the contrary, each Prophet confirmed the message of his predecessors and sought to promote the mission which was the sacred legacy of them all. Allah did not reveal any of the Books in order to reject the previous ones; each confirmed and supported the preceding ones."
