Reading skills practice

If you were to ask me what my favourite sport is, my answer would be swimming. I started learning how to swim when I was five years old and I have been swimming ever since.

I have been dancing since I was 14 years old, when my best friend dragged me to an after-school dance class. I enjoyed that dance class so much that I have been dancing ever since.

I prefer listening to the music than going out. My favourite song is Another world by One Direction. I also like reading books and one of my favourites is Harry Potter. I love riding roller blades with my older sister and sometimes I play tennis.

I like so much riding my bike. I was 5 years old when I learnt to ride it. My bike is red and green, the seat is black with white stars on it. In summertime I ride my bike almost every day and I go to Molo Lungo (Dock). Over there I can enjoy the view of the sea and of my beautiful city. I always wear the helmet when I ride my bike, of course.

Gaelic football is one of the oldest and most popular sports in Ireland, played by men, women and children all around the country. The ball game is played between two teams, each with fifteen players. In simple terms the game looks like a mixture of rugby union and soccer (…).

A lot of people in England have a very strong obsession with football. You might even say they are fanatics! When I was growing up, everyone would rush out to the playground during the break times, desperate to play a game of football.
