Strip Heater

The purpose of the strip heater is

• to heat thermoplastic

• to fold acrylic

• to heat a strip of the material slowly

• to cut acrylic

The strip heater is normally used together with

• clamps

• vice

• jig

• tongs

When using the strip heater, the following safety precaution should be observed. They are:

• wear gloves

• avoid touching the heating elements

• switch off machine once done

• you can walk away to perform other tasks while waiting for the materials to heat up
