What is a Relative Clause?

• Adds information about someone or something referred to in a main clause.

• To be used to show that an action is going to take place in the near future.

• word or phrase that connects a noun or pronoun to a verb or adjective in a sentence.

What are the two types of relative clauses?

• definite and indefinite.

• Restrictive (or defining) relative clauses and non-restrictive (or non-defining) relative clauses.
