You click on each of these to change the Word Ribbon, accessing groups of related tools. Also, the name of each of the Ribbons.

When you click on one of these, it allows you to select from a list of options, such as font size.

Opens a small window with information and options about a particular tool or group (Located in the corner of some of the groups)
